
Go to (other launchers may work, I haven't tested any) and in the download dropdown menu, choose "download for all platforms." This installs Java onto Linux, letting it read Java and. In the terminal, type " sudo apt install default-jdk" (no quotation marks) and press enter. Once Linux is downloaded, search "Terminal" in the launcher located in the bottom left corner of the screen and open it. Go to Settings > Linux (Beta) > Install Linux

However, I was still able to manage to get it working by doing the following: Trying to play RuneScape through the Google Play Store is currently impossible, as the game just crashes immediately, and downloading RuneScape doesn't work since Chromebooks don't have Java. I'm not sure if this works on all models, but I assume that it could since I was able to make this work on a pretty cheap HP Chromebook with a crappy processor.
